SAFE, CLINICAL SKIN TAG REMOVAL
Skin tag removal is safe and simple and undertaken by our nurse-led team of clinicians, at our West Sussex Skin Tag Removal Clinic.
Some people can be more prone to skin tags than others, but it’s not always clear why this is. For multiple tag removals, you may opt to have more than removed at a time. Skin tags can look like warts; however, they are non-contagious and they will not grow back after removal.
The preferred option at our clinic – and the most convenient for our clients – is to have skin tags removed via cryotherapy. This process uses the freezing method. Skin tags can be removed by cutting or burning them off, but we prefer to use cryotherapy or laser at our West Sussex skin Tag removal clinic.
HOW WART REMOVAL CLINIC CAN HELP
Skin tag clients at our West Sussex Wart Removal Clinic will have their skin tags assessed by one of our nurse-led clinician team. Almost all tags are suitable for removal by cryotherapy. After assessment, our nurse clinician will apply a precision tool to freeze the skin tag with nitrous oxide. Also known as N20, the nitrous oxide applied through the pen-like tool will stop the flow of blood to the tag. Very cold, nitrous oxide kills the tag by stemming blood flow.
The tool used does not pierce the skin, but it is likely that you will feel a sensation similar to point of a ballpoint pen on your skin. The nurse might decide to apply the pen more than once in your treatment, but it depends on the size of the tag. Usually, tags can be treated entirely in one session, but larger tags might require a follow-up session.
Clients can feel a gentle tingling sensation around the treatment area after cryotherapy. The treatment won’t hurt, but you might have a slight stinging feeling for the rest of the day.
After nitrous oxide application, the skin tag will darken, dry out and become crusty over the coming days. These are good signs that the tag is dying. In a few days, your tag will fall off. Although it might leave a small mark, it will disappear in time. When healed, you can return to your normal skin care routine.
Our nursing team will be happy to help you with any queries or questions that you may have. Contact our West Sussex Skin Tag Removal Clinic today.
