SAFE, CLINICAL SKIN TAG REMOVAL
Skin tag removal is a safe and simple procedure that is undertaken here, at our Suffolk Skin Tag Removal Clinic, by our nurse-led team of clinicians.
It is not clear why some people can be more prone to skin tags than others. Some people have multiple tags and others, none. At our Suffolk clinic, you can have one or more tags removed in the one session. Skin tags can resemble warts, but they’re not contagious and won’t return after removal.
At our Suffolk clinic, we prefer to remove skin tags by freezing them off. Known as cryotherapy, this is the most convenient removal method for our clients. Skin tags can be taken away by cutting or burning; we prefer to use cryotherapy, or laser, at our Suffolk skin Tag removal clinic.
HOW WART REMOVAL CLINIC CAN HELP
Upon arrival at our Suffolk Wart Removal Clinic, your tag or tags will be clinically assessed by a nurse in the clinician team. Most tags are suitable for removal. After assessment, nitrous oxide will be applied to the area via a pen-like precision tool. Known as N20, nitrous oxide is very cold. It freezes the stalk of the skin tag, which will stop the blood flowing to the skin tag which effectively kills it.
The pen-like tool will not pierce the skin. You might feel a sensation similar to a ballpoint pen nib touching your skin. During application, the nurse might find that they need to make a second application of the device and the nitrous oxide. This depends on the size of the skin tag. Most tags can be dealt with in one treatment session, but larger tags may need further treatment.
Following the procedure, you could feel a tingling in the area of the tag or tags. Cryotherapy is not a painful treatment, but you experience a gentle stinging for the rest of the day.
After cryotherapy, you may notice the tag changing colour and becoming darker. Your tag may start to dry out and become crusty. A good sign, this means that the skin tag is dying. Within days, the treated tag will fall off. There may be a small mark where the skin tag has fallen off, but it will go away. When healed, you can apply skin care as normal.
If you have questions or queries about the treatment. Get in touch with our Suffolk Skin Tag Removal Clinic team, who will be happy to help.
Skin tag removal is a safe and simple procedure that is undertaken here, at our Clinic, by our nurse-led team of clinicians.
Some people are more prone to skin tags than others, however it is not clear why this might be the case. You may opt to have more than one skin tag removed at a time. Skin tags may sometimes look like warts; however, they are neither contagious and they will not grow back once removed.
Our preferred option – and the most convenient for our clients – is to have skin tags removed via freezing. This process is known as cryotherapy. Skin tags can also be removed by cutting them off or burning them off, however at our clinic, we prefer to use cryotherapy.
