In order to remove the skin tag, we use cryotherapy. This is a freezing process which uses nitrous oxide to freeze the skin tag. This will cut off the blood supply and will kill it. This is our preferred option; it’s quick and requires no special preparation. It’s also painless. On some occasions, we think that laser treatment is the best option for your laser tag removal, if our nurse assesses this as the better option. People can be more prone to developing skin tags than others. We offer multiple skin tag removal in one session. It’s vital to remember that, even though skin tags look wart-like, they’re not contagious and don’t grow back once removed.
HOW WART REMOVAL CLINIC CAN HELP
Your skin tag will be assessed by our team of nurses so they can make sure it can be removed. Usually it is fine for removal, but it’s important to do this now to ensure that there are no further complications in future. With approval from the nurse, they will apply nitrous oxide to the skin using a pen like precision tool. This freezes the stalk, cuts off blood supply and essentially kills it over the next few days. While it’s painless, you can feel a tingling sensation around the area of treatment.
In the days after your treatment, your tag will become darker, it will dry out and will fall off. This leaves a dark patch of skin that will vanish in a few days. You may resume your regular skincare routine once the area has returned to normal.
