How does the skin tag removal process work?
When you first visit our clinic, our nursing team will examine your tag/s to assess its suitability for removal. We find that, usually, tags are eligible for removal. Nitrous oxide is very cold and will be administered to the stalk of the tag, using a fine precision device that looks just like a pen. Cutting off the blood supply, the tag is killed. You may find you have a tingling sensation at the point of treatment, but it is not sore. Your tag will become dark, drying out after treatment until it falls off. You may find it leaves a darker patch of skin behind. This will fade in days and offers no cause for concern. Please delay your regular skincare regime until your skin has returned to normal.
