WART REMOVAL West Yorkshire

At the West Yorkshire Wart Removal Clinic, all skin tag clients will have their tags clinically assessed by our nursing team. Usually, all tags are suitable for cryotherapy. Following assessment, your nurse will apply a precision tool that looks like a pen to freeze the skin tag with nitrous oxide. Nitrous oxide is also known as N20 and is very cold. Nitrous oxide treatment will stop the flow of blood to the skin tag, killing the tag through stemming its blood flow.

The precision tool that dispenses the nitrous oxide will not pierce the skin. You might feel the tool touch your skin; it’s like the tip of a ballpoint pen touching your skin. Your nurse may decide to apply the pen more than once during treatment if the tag is unusually large. Tags can most often be treated in one session, but larger tags might require a follow-up. 

Clients may feel a gentle tingling sensation around the treatment area after cryotherapy. Cryotherapy won’t not hurt, but it might leave you with a slight stinging feeling for the remainder of the day.

In the days after nitrous oxide, your tag will darken, dry out and might become crusty. These are all good indications that the tag is dying and will soon fall off. You may notice a small mark where the tag has detached from; this will go away. Once healed, you can resume your usual skin care routine.
