SAFE, CLINICAL SKIN TAG REMOVAL
At our Reading wart removal clinic, we also remove skin tags too. We remove skin tags via cryotherapy – a process that freezes the tag with nitrous oxide, preventing blood supply and killing it. It’s our preferred option and it is quick, convenient and painless. On occasion, we choose to use a laser for removal if our nurses decide that is the preferred option. Some people can be prone to skin tags; our clinic will remove more than one skin tag in one time. While skin tags may look like warts, they’re non-contagious and don’t return after removal.
HOW WART REMOVAL CLINIC CAN HELP
A member of our Reading nursing staff will first examine your skin tag, ensuring that it is eligible
for removal. Most often, they will be but it’s important to check to avoid further complications in future.
After the nurse has given their approval for removal, they will use a precision tool which looks like
a pen to deliver the nitrous oxide to the skin tag stalk. This will cut off its blood supply, causing it to die and drop off in time. Although this is a painless process, you may feel a mild tingling sensation around the treated area.
In the few days after your treatment, your skin tag will get darker and drier until it simply falls off. When it does, it will leave behind a darkened patch of skin. This is nothing to worry about and will disappear within a few days. We recommend holding off your regular skincare routine until the skin has returned to its usual colour.
